Dr. Young received his his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.

Following veterinary school, he completed a one-year rotating medicine and surgery internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He stayed on at AMC to complete his dual residency in Emergency and Critical Care and Internal Medicine.

In 2007, Dr. Young became board certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency / Critical Care.
His research interests include global perfusion parameters and transfusion medicine.

Dr. Young resides in Burbank with his two dogs, a cat and four finches. In his free time, he practices yoga and rides his horse as much as possible.
