Dr. Mickila Collins received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2005, completing her clinical year at Louisiana State University. After graduation, she completed a one-year rotating internship at ASG, followed by an internal medicine internship, also at ASG.

She left us for a short time, to complete a three-year residency program at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) in Houston, Texas. While there, she trained extensively in minimally invasive procedures including endoscopy, bronchoscopy and cystoscopy. Her main areas of interest include gastroenterology, endocrinology and respiratory disorders. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2012.

Dr. Collins is heavily involved with Pit Bull education and rescue, and lives in Manhattan Beach with her husband, a new baby girl named Wren, and three dogs, Sydney, Rocco, and Lynus.
