Delivered into trusted,
capable, caring and
Virtually every veterinarian wishes they could be available for their patients around the clock, 365 days a year. But that’s just not humanly possible. So in those instances when emergency or critical care is required, Animal Specialty Group provides primary care veterinarians with highly reliable, long- or short-stay support.
We provide critical ICU care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our emergency and critical care units are fully staffed and equipped to handle minor-to-complex emergencies at any time. These specialty units are fully backed by the hospital’s extensive on-site resources – including advanced diagnostic imaging equipment, state-of-the-art operating rooms, board certified specialists, and on-premises laboratory and pharmacy. In fact, our emergency department is headed by a double-boarded criticalist, Brian Young, VMD, DACVIM, DAVECC, and is staffed by 2 additional emergency veterinarians.
Every second counts.
All emergency visits are supervised by a critical care specialist, so Animal Specialty Group’s veterinarians are able to act quickly and confidently – conducting diagnostic tests, monitoring conditions and applying care at a second’s notice. For added assurance, patients are under continuous medical supervision and monitored around the clock.
Our emergency staff is ready to continue the ICU care you have already started, or to take cases in directly through the ER.
Animal Specialty Group’s ICU makes it as simple as possible for referring veterinary hospitals to transfer their patients for overnight or 24-hour care, then transfer them back once conditions have stabilized. To make the referral process even easier, we have made the Emergency Care referral form available online (although it can also be printed and faxed, or sent with the client). Just click on the document icon in the upper right column (or just click here) to download the pdf.
Please send copies of medical records, including recent blood work and radiographs. Your radiographs will be returned as soon as the patient leaves our hospital.
We’re here when you need us.
